Autumn

As a college student at Oakland University, I am very active in sports and dance. When I noticed my dance movements weren’t what they used to be, and as running track became more difficult, I knew something was wrong. After going to Dr. Neuner, I found out my back was out of line. My parents recommended I see Dr. Neuner for a chiropractic treatment They had seen him before and I knew they both had gone through great experiences.

At first, I was a little nervous about having the treatment. I wasn’t sure if it would be painful, or how my body would react. However, after my first visit, I felt a noticeable difference throughout my entire body. That’s when I knew seeing a chiropractor really does work. Dr. Neuner was extremely friendly and put me at ease. He made sure I knew what he was doing every step of the way. Now I’m back to doing the things I love, without pain.

As an active retiree, I am always on the go. With golfing, swimming, biking and playing with my 10 grand children, there’s never a dull moment.

I had back surgery about 20 years ago, and then a car accident. Both left me with neck and back pain. I suffered from pinched nerves, and my vertebrae were dropping. Sometimes the pain was so intense I would pass out. I knew I had to do something to get back to a normal life, but I really wanted to avoid surgery.

My previous experience with a chiropractor was unpleasant but my family physician recommended I see Dr. Neuner at the Michigan Head and Spine Institute. He has given me back my life! Now I carry Dr. Neuner’s business cards with me so I can pass them along to people I know.

As a competitive figure skater, I put my body through a lot. After years of physical stress, my hips were uneven and I started to have lower back pain that wouldn’t go away. Just walking was painful, and although I was attempting to live through the pain, it was very disruptive to my life. I wasn’t able to take medication because I’ve had bad reactions in the past. I also wanted to try and find an alternative to surgery.

For me, seeing a chiropractor was the best long-term solution for my pain relief. Dr. Neuner at Michigan Head and Spine Institute was very gentle, and made me feel extremely comfortable. After my adjustments I even grew a couple of inches from better posture!

Every time I put my leg up I experienced sharp shooting pains, That’s when I knew something was wrong and that I had pulled something. As an electrician, I spend a lot of time walking on hard surfaces, and I sit for long periods of time while driving from job to job. My pain was making my life extremely difficult.

After a visit to my doctor, I was told I had a bone spur on one of my vertebrae. It was hitting a nerve and causing the pain I was experiencing. I wanted to avoid surgery, so I visited the Michigan Head and Spine Institute. Dr. Neuner was a family friend and I trusted him to make me better. I knew seeing a chiropractor was a milder alternative to some of the invasive treatments people had recommended. Now I’m back to 100%, and I have Dr. Neuner to thank.

About three years ago I started to have terrible neck and back problems as a result of a car accident. As a teacher, it became difficult to do my job. It was becoming increasingly hard lean over and physically interact with my students. Living through the pain turned out to be a constant struggle – it was exhausting.

I was looking for a natural solution for my pain, and I was a little nervous to see a chiropractor. My husband had gone to one in the past, and I knew it had worked for him, so I gave it a try.
I started seeing Dr. Neuner once or twice a week and it certainly made a difference. Now I’m virtually pain free, and I am able to go for an adjustment only when I need it. I now refer my friends to Dr. Neuner. Seeing a new physician can cause people anxiety, but Dr. Neuner is the right man for the job.

At 15 I had back surgery, and at age 30 I started to have sciatica pain. As a surgical nurse I am always on my feet, and was starting to experience pain in my right leg and a burning in my right foot – and I know what that meant. Doing my job, and just living my life, was becoming increasingly difficult.

At first I didn’t believe in seeing a chiropractor, but I wanted a natural solution to relieve my pain. I had seen two other chiropractors before going to Dr. Neuner at the Michigan Head and Spine Institute, and he has “magic hands”. Not only does he help to manage my pain, he listens to me.
My body tells me when I need to go back for an adjustment, and I see Dr. Neuner about twice a month. I know he’s doing something right -- I am always seeing people from work and church in his waiting room.
