Chiropractic Services and Treatments

Chiropractic care at MHSI provides patients with non surgical needs another option. Treatment is most effective for muscle spasms of the back and neck, tension headaches, some arm, neck and leg pain,  and stress.  Chiropractors treat patients through manipulation and adjustments of body structures, such as the spinal column, so that pressure on nerves coming from the spinal cord due to displacement (subluxation) of a vertebral body may be relieved.

Chiropractic physicians relieve back pain with spinal manipulation. This simple procedure involves gently applying pressure to strategic joints on the body, which help take pressure off nerve roots.

At MHSI, Chiropractors work collaboratively with Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialists also known as Physiatrists and Neurosurgeons to ensure the patient receives a continuity of care should more advanced treatement be required. Click here to learn more about our current promotion!

Common conditions or symptoms include:

•      Back pain
•      Headaches or migraines
•      Neck, shoulder, arm or hand pain
•      Stress resulting in generalized or specific pain
•      Sciatica (lower back, buttock and leg pain)
•      Pain from a pinched nerve
•      Sacroiliac pain
•      A herniated, bulging or “slipped” disc

A Chiropractor can also be the right choice if anti-inflammatory medications (Motrin, Advil, Tylenol), prescription pain medication or steroids are no longer effective in relieving your pain.
