Facial pain, though often caused by sinus disorders or dental problems, can be a symptom of a neurological disorder. Dull and throbbing or intense and sharp pain directly in the face and forehead can be caused by nerve disorders, infections in facial structure or injury. Be sure to report repeated facial pain your doctor; it may require a thorough examination.
